Log Buddy ("we", "our", or "us") is a maintenance voice logging app built to help technicians record and organize work notes.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Log Buddy mobile app.

1. Information We Collect

Voice Recordings & Transcripts: When you record a maintenance note, we process the audio to create a text transcript. The raw audio may be temporarily stored for transcription and playback.
Maintenance Data: Parsed information such as Part, Work Type, Line Number, Station Number, Categories, Custom Fields, timestamps, and extra notes.
Photos: Images of broken/old parts and installed/new parts that you upload.
Account Information: If you create an account — email, name, and password (encrypted).
Device Permissions: Microphone (for recording), Camera/Photos (for part images), and Storage (for saving files locally).

We do not collect location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers unless you explicitly enable them.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the core app functionality (transcribe, parse, store, and organize your maintenance logs).
To improve the AI phrase recognition over time (anonymized data only).
For app maintenance, support, and updates.
We do not sell your personal data or voice recordings to third parties.
